Description
“Introduction to Combustion” is a textbook specifically aimed at undergraduate students in mechanical, aerospace, chemical and civil engineering as well as physics and chemistry. Areas covered in the text include chemical thermodynamics, chemical kinetcs, deflagrations and detonations in pre-mixed media, diffusion flames, ignition, flame stabilization and introductory experimental optical diagnostics. The material is mainly introduced by example, rather than in abstract form. Mathematics is minimized and several problems are provided at the end of each subject area.
