It contains unique accounts of the discovery of these elements by an active participant in their discovery. In a single volume, the chemistry, nuclear properties and synthesis of these elements is discussed. While there have been other books about the transuranium elements, there is no single volume like this book in which all aspects of the transuranium elements are discussed. This is the first modern account of the nuclear properties of these elements and the nuclear reactions needed to synthesize them.
